Thus, it would be very important for a person to remember that resistance ratings are being varied from different controlled conditions set by the manufacturers in laboratories.

Resistances of watches decrease over time because of some constant changes in conditions and in aging. Another thing that needs to be remembered importantly is the difference between being resistant and being waterproof. One best example for this is changing the battery of your watch.
