Off Duty Police Officers And The Need For Them

By Ronald Kennedy

You might want some extra protection for your home, and it can be an occasion. This might be a good time to contact persons like off duty police officers Milwaukee WI. There are many cops moonlighting to provide security and like services as a way to supplement their income, and if their duty hours permit them.

They can be found in certain places serving their profession, like bars that work like locals for their members, a common water hole for them. Businessmen with access to these could use contacts there for making money. Locals are the places where contacts are made, schedules and resources are pooled for personnel or volunteers.

Extra income is derived by the hour here, and it might even be something that has a higher flat fee than average. Cops of course are full time crime fighters and its does not even have to take too much imagination how they are really great for purposes of protecting civilians. This is while they are out of uniform or official police matters or duties.

In any event they will usually have their own guns when not doing duty, firearms they call safety guns, and something to protect them or do work when not on duty. The capacity in carrying is something which clients can appreciate well. Not that guns will be used, but these are extra deterrence for purposes of security.

A company for instance may need added personnel during sensitive bank transfers. Those cops idling in locals can then be called by the contact person, a middleman with details about a temporary contractor job. If one or two agree, they get the work, first agreeing on client terms, then providing their few hours of work.

Milwaukee has a good police force whose members may need more cash for their own use. It does not mean they are not well paid, simply that expenses these days may go beyond their income. Or that they might not some extra or instant cash for certain essentials, or they simply want to add to their household income.

Also, some superiors may want some advisory about their moonlighting jobs. This is simply for transparency and for any contingencies related to their main job. Sometimes some emergencies erupt needing all hands available to respond, and at these times, policemen have to answer the call of duty.

When personnel are spending time for other jobs in the private sector it makes sense to be transparent. This way there will be no negative questions asked. Bosses in police forces also understand reasons for their policemen to moonlight, and when they know so, they could work out other options for solving contingencies.

Most times police officers have their own preferences for jobs like these. They might have reasons other than making more money. Some are even preparing for the time they could retire from the pressures of policing and are practicing the job they will want to secure once they have resigned.
