The human resource department has several functions that it has to perform in order for an organization to run smoothly. One of the most important tasks is recruitment of employees. The success of a company or business will depend on the people working in it. They have to be the best candidates for the duties assigned to them. Silicon Valley HR departments ensures that vacancies are advertised and screening of potential workers done properly.

Even though people that are qualified are hired, they will need guidance in few areas. This is because some of them are usually from other work places which have different cultural organization. The only way to make these new staff familiar and comfortable with the new environment is by orienting them properly.

It is important to provide safe and comfortable working conditions. Every person present must be well cared for. Training individuals on how to use certain equipment in the premise such as fire extinguishers, teaching them how to handle an emergency case and performing first aid service to accident victims is vital. It is the duty of the human resource department to ensure that peaceful correlations are maintained.

It is their duty to keep records of the company. They are expected to take notes, record transactions and keep track of all legal fee paid. This helps in avoiding confusion and errors. This team should see to it that all expenses incurred during purchase, repair and maintenance or payment of workers is documented and a clear record kept appropriately.

They also distribute payrolls in some organizations. They keep track of the deductions made from the income of people. This includes the revenues and taxes charged. Allowances are also included in this. Every payroll must be dispensed from these offices.

The amount of effort put in by each person will determine the success of the venture. Every employer is expected to meet certain expectations. Their performance is normally monitored. If an individual is under performing, they will be singled out by skilled personnel. The problem is then identified and a solution given.

In business, many agreements are made. Contracts are normally signed and people pledge to accomplish their missions. Workers are promised certain benefits that may not be granted. These departments should ensure compensation in such cases. If a pledge is not kept, victims must be paid back.
