Aside from giving them enough space to swim and play, think of placing some honeycombs and minerals on their tanks. It would really keep the pH level highly stable.

There are different types of limestone you could use for this kind of matter. One of that is the honeycomb. Mostly, people call them the Texas holy rock. It is not really surprising to have that kind of name. After all, the stone is pretty renown across the place. They are almost everywhere. If you are living in this place, you do not need to bother buying these materials. You could just pick them up on the beach. That is the advantage of it. Sometimes, you can see the material in other places too. Aside from this, you could also use petrified wood, quartz, and lava as a substitute.

Of course, buying the rocks is not completely necessary. You see, aside from it, you can also use other things as a substitute. To name a few of it, you got the lava, granite, and even the petrified wood. If you happened to live near the river, the latter might be pretty abundant in your place.

Unfortunately, if you lack the skill and ability to differentiate these resources, you might not be able to obtain your objective. At the end, you might need to rely on this specific mineral at all. Holey rocks are quite distinguished. Aside from this name, they are also known as honeycomb rocks or limestone. Getting such kind of name is not surprising.

It is not completely bad to invest too. Compared to those rocks mentioned above, this specific mineral is highly known for their credible caves and holes. You see, these rocks serve as a great home for small fishes. Surely, not all of your fishes are friendly enough to share their homes with another fish. Some breeds are very territorial.

Compared to other stones, the rocks have a lot of caves. This is pretty ideal, especially, if you are trying to raise aggressive fishes. At least, this would help the defenseless one from getting into fights. As for the material, though, consider of taking them out every six months for maintenance and cleaning.

Of course, you could do it more frequently than that. It is going to be your decision. As an owner, just make sure not to forget your obligations and responsibilities. Prove them yourself. It will never hurt you to be extra cautious. Take off any dirt in the rock. By assessing this issue, this will not only give your fish a comfortable place to live in. This would prevent the rocks from collapsing after the dirt has been dissolved in the water. Of course, letting this situation side can be pretty difficult. If possible, for these parts, use the silicone glue immediately.
