The History Of Airplane Development And Sectional Flights

By Richard Phillips

Since the beginning of mankind, humanity has been fascinated by all the things that surround them. Whether it is the great source of nature that surrounds each one with a different sight and sound or the various different animals that is seen in the vast wilderness of forest old, the love of the unknown has driven humanity to bigger and newer heights.

For ages, people have looked upon the environment around them and held a great appreciation of what they saw. The vast green and forest have given way to stories about what is inside the vast world of green. The ability of these creatures to freely fly around the sky was loved by man, leading to the creation of airplanes and sectional flights inside them.

Humans were so enthralled by them, that many cultures around the world have symbolized wings and birds as scared animals in the different mythologies and religions that were prevalent during the time. Many birds were depicted as guardians or gods that ruled over humanity. The wings symbolized the freedom and power.

The first kind of flying machine design was founded in the city famous for its myths. A resident of Greece had introduced a harness that enabled the inventor or pilot to fly for a limited amount of time. This idea was given birth during the golden age of Greece. The machine held an impressive feat as it was able to keep itself in flight despite the primitive technology.

Going from the classical periods, lots of other innovators decided to try their hand at creating their own version of a flying machine. The designs are what is known today as gliders. There were many flaws with it, as the people that have served as test pilots were severely injured due to the primitive technology of the time.

Very kinds of developments were made in the next few centuries. As of the 18th, a new idea had popped into the head of innovators. Because the gilder had proved to unsafe and unreliable, many decided to make a new design based on a person riding the machine instead of using it for gliding.

Things were further developed at the middle of 19th century. The inventor from France had made several new improvements on Gliders that were considered as dangerous and outdated by that time. The new one was now powered by a horse that pulled it along, thus gaining the speed to get to it fly. This sort of system became a test bed for what people have today.

After that, many different kinds of prototypes were made. The various models did not get any positive results however as the machines could not sustain themselves once in flight. Only the Wright brothers were able to make the best model that had become what is known today as the airplane.

All these developments have the airplane what it is today. Now, many can travel wherever they like without much trouble in doing so. The past of traveling by ship for many days and months are long passed humanity. And thus, many new adventures are done because of it.
